Treasurer Candidate Dr. Mónica Medina
Dr. Mónica Medina first and foremost es una mamá, a wife, and advocate for Dual Language education. She is currently serving as a Dual Language Coordinator in San Antonio ISD. She previously taught elementary and middle school Dual Language and has been a Bilingual Instructional Coach. Her dissertation for the Ph.D. focused on understating the bilingual and bicultural experiences of Dual Language administrators and how they have influenced their practice. Dr. Medina has co-authored chapters on Dual Language in The Administration and Supervision of Special Programs in Education, 4th and 5th Editions.
I am running for office on the TABE Board to continue to serve our Bilingual population. I look forward to having critical conversations that advocate for equity for our Emergent Bilingual students
